Xupeng is a postdoc with the Environmental Toxicology group at Wageningen University and Research. He will be conducting his postdoc research in the RATION project focusing on risk assessment of low-risk pesticides and is mainly involved in work packages 2 and 4.
He obtained his MSc degree in cellular biology at Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science and his PhD in biology at University of St Andrews. Previous research topics include the appliance of entomopathogenic nematodes and its symbiotic bacteria, the establishment of insects cell lines, and identification of telomere ssDNA binding protein in C. elegans.
For his postdoc in RATION, he is supervised by Nico van den Brink and will be conducting laboratory tests with establishment of a risk assessment scheme of low-risk pesticides.
