Pilar Sandín España
Scientist Researcher in the Plant Protection Products Unit at INIA-CSIC since 2016. Graduated in Chemical Sciences in 1998 and a PhD degree from the Autonomous University of Madrid (2004). Researcher at the Department of Plant Protection-INIA (2006-2015). Since 2016, she is responsible for the chemistry research group of the INIA Plant Protection Products Unit. Main research lines are focused mainly on the chemical behavior of pesticides and their transformation products in the environment (biological activity, QSAR...) with special attention reactions in nature (biotic and abiotic) as well as anthropogenic processes such as disinfection treatments of water; study of chiral compounds; development of analytical methods to analyze pesticide residues in water, soil and plants. She has participated in 14 competitive research projects (5 as Principal Researcher, Principal Researcher of 6 non-competitive projects and collaboration agreements. She has published 39 scientific articles (74% in Q1) ,15 popular articles and 13 book chapters. She has participated in more than 40 national/ international conferences. He has directed 4 doctoral theses; 2 in progress. She has an h-index of 18 and has received 905 citations. Additionally, she is a member of the editorial board of several SCI journals, editor of two special issue in the journal "Molecules" and a regular contributor as a reviewer for scientific journals.
