Dr. Apostolos Pekas

Dr. Pekas is an agricultural entomologist with interest in biological pest control and insect-plant interactions as tools for sustainable crop protection. He is the Leader of the Beneficial Insects Team aiming at developing novel, reliable and efficient systems for the mass rearing of existing and new species of arthropod natural enemies. Apart from his activities at Biobest, he also participates as a Guest lecturer at Wageningen University in the Netherlands and the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain teaching subjects in sustainable crop protection. He also serves as Associate Editor for Pest Management Science, the Journal of Applied Entomology, and the Journal of Economic Entomology.
