Bruno Guimarães, who holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Clinical Laboratory Biology, obtained his PhD in Biology, with a specialty in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Biology, from CESAM – University of Aveiro (PT) in 2018. Over the past few years, he has been working with ecotoxicological soil model species to enhance risk assessment. During this period, he has collaborated with international research groups on several projects and has published an average of two papers per year in high-impact journals, some with impact factors as high as 10.753. He has supervised and mentored several students and research fellows at various levels (BSc, MSc, and PhD).

Bruno joined Syngenta in July 2023 as a post-doctoral fellow for the RATION project. His current research interests include low-risk pesticides, ERA improvement, and regulatory processes for Biological AIs and PPPs
