RATION launches new application
A new application of RATION called “Biopesticides” is available and can be found and downloaded from the Google Play store. The application provides an on-line updated view of the list of biopesticides, including those categorized as low-risk, that are registered and used in the member states.
The distributed data are directly taken by the EU pesticide database of the European Commission and they are constantly updated. The app provides information on the uses of each product to the different crops and the countries where each product is registered for use, the maximum residue limits (MRLs) for agricultural products per active substance as well as the documents related to their registration including environmental fate an (eco)toxicological properties and a summary of the risk assessment. Finally, the user could add data of biopesticides use in their field sites that can be summarized per year and country.
