Dr. Venetia Koidou is Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Institute of Industrial and Forage Crops at ELGO-DIMITRA, with prior work and expertise in insect molecular biology, concerning molecular mechanisms by which the agricultural pests develop resistance to insecticides (identification of novel insecticide targets and development of biotechnology-based tools for pest control), as well as critical for the insect-host interactions with symbiotic bacteria. In the framework of RATION, she will be involved in WP4 (Risk assessment for dsRNA pesticides), especially T4.1 (Hazard identification for ds-RNA pesticides) and T4.3 (Environmental exposure and fate of dsRNA).
